Silverton Evangelical Church

Giving to SEC

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.   2 Corinthians 9:7

Our church members give generously and sacrificially to support our ministry in Silverton and the surrounding area. Giving is a part of our worship that reflects the nature and character of God. As a church, we aim to give away around a tenth of our income to support mission further afield.

We have a number of extra expenses coming up, most notably purchasing the equipment and technology needed to stream our Sunday services from the building.

Why do we want to stream our services?

Great question! Our task is to serve our local community, reaching out with the good news of Jesus. Lockdown has helped us see new opportunities and new ways of doing this through better communication. Live streaming our Sunday services and enabling people to watch and listen to our services afterwards has the following benefits:

To do this well, we need to spend around £4000. We are asking all church members to "dig deep" if possible because this is something we passionately believe in. We hope to be able to do this soon, for the reasons above.

How can I give?

Thanks for asking! If you would like to make a donation to support the work of SEC you could:

We are very grateful for your support!

Sponsored walk from Boscastle to Bude

On Saturday 22nd May 2021, a group of 15 walked a section of the South West Coast Path to raise money for the church. 7 completed the whole 17 mile stretch which was a strenuous walk! Below are some photos from the day.
