Since its foundation the principle of shared leadership is core to how the church is led. In 2018 SEC changed it's charitable status from a charitable
trust to a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO). A body of Trustees
have overall responsibility for the governance of the church and are
supported by a Ministry Team and a Resources Team. Pictured are some of today's leaders who take responsibility for overseeing different aspects of
the church's ministry. We believe that God gives gifts to every Christian
for the building up of the church so everyone who comes to SEC regularly is encouraged to use their gifts.
Andy Mathers, our full-time Church Leader and Community Worker, serves on the
Ministry Team. Andy and his wife Laura live in the village with their daughters Jess, Ella,
Lilia and Amy. Their children attend Silverton Primary School where Andy takes regular
assemblies and is on the school governing body.
