Church Leadership

Since its foundation the principle of shared leadership has been core to how the church is led.  In 2018 SEC changed its charitable status from a charitable trust to a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO).  The Trustees have overall responsibility for the governance of the church and are supported by a Ministry Team and a Resources Team.  Leaders take responsibility for overseeing different aspects of the church's ministry.   We believe that God gives gifts to every Christian for the building up of the church so everyone who comes to SEC regularly is encouraged to use their gifts.

Andy Mathers, our full-time Church Leader and Community Worker, chairs the Ministry Team.  Andy and his wife Laura live in the village with their four daughters.
