Who's who
STOP PRESS We are now actively and prayerfully seeking God's leading in the appointment of a new minister (part-time or full-time). If you would like more details, please email office@silvertonevangelicalchurch.org.uk
Since its early days the church has been led by a team of lay elders who share the leadership and teaching. In 2005 Robert Amess, a Baptist minister, was appointed part-time minister and Robert and his wife, Beth, joined SEC. Robert has an international preaching ministry as well as having been a pastor and serving in key positions on the Evangelical Alliance board and Spurgeon's College. In September 2011 Robert retired from this post.
Today the church continues to be led by a team of men and women elders. A Steering Group are appointed to oversee the day-to-day running of the church.
We believe that God gives gifts to every Christian and that these gifts are for the benefit of the whole church which is why everyone who belongs to the church is encouraged to serve in whatever way God enables them to.
